Description:
Send me TWO photos of your pet (portrait preferred), and we will make a traceable transfer for you. During class, you will trace from that transfer image of  your pet onto your canvas. Then, with a live demonstration and step-by-step instructions, you will paint your pet with acrylics onto a prepared canvas.  How you paint it is up to you: realistic, abstract, crazy colors, honor a pet who crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, salamanders… even a pet elephant! Anything goes! Lots of fun! All materials provided. Plus animal crackers and a soft drink.

But first, PLEASE EMAIL two pet portrait pictures to kateburke.sjpg@gmail.com by September 15th. For those who haven’t emailed any photos by that date, we’ll have a variety of canvas-sized, generic cat and dog animal photo printouts available for you to work from. We do not freehand draw or paint from a photo. We use a transfer. But you are welcome to bring some extra pet pictures for reference.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND ME A PET PICTURE AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS SO I CAN MAKE A CNAVAS-SIZED TRANSFER FOR YOU. You are welcome to bring photos for reference, but we TRACE FROM THE TRANSFER, THEN PAINT THE ANIMAL YOU TRACED ONTO YOUR CANVAS.
