An Evening of Comedy and Music

“Laugh a Lot” on with hilarious performances by award-winning comedians Nancy Norton and Stephanie McHugh was presented at the Montrose Center for the Arts (MCA). Concession Stand, bar, and doors opened at 5:30.  The show started at 6 p.m. with two 40-minute sessions, each opening with music by singer-songwriter Cheryl Gaudet. Popcorn, candy, soft drinks, and comedy snacks were for for sale and wine and beer available by donation. During the intermission, guests had plenty of time to use the rest rooms—these ladies had everyone laughing so hard, a potty break was be a necessity!

Together, these three on the 13th entertained, inspired, and definitely made you feel good with a little love and a lot of laughter. Tickets free if over 60. Otherwise, $20 Reserved, and  $25 at the door (space permitting). The event, which was a fundrasier for the art center, was sold out, and many of the senior guests also donated.

Nancy Norton consistently receives 5 Star Reviews for her performances. She tours nationally, headlining clubs, festivals, conferences, and events and has toured internationally on USO tours to Europe, Asia, Iceland, and the Pacific. Nancy draws from a lifetime of experience as a single mom and registered nurse. Her hilarious healthcare anecdotes will leave you in stitches and wanting to stay well!

It’s more than stand-up comedy for Nancy, who also inspires people to have a better life through laughter with her Keynote, The Power of Humor: Laugh and Grow Rich, and her Improv Team Building Workshops, Practicing Playful Presence.

Stephanie McHugh is a stand up comedian, funny female motivational speaker, and humor expert. She appeared on the TV show “America’s Funniest Mom” and was invited to perform at the Great American Comedy Festival. Stephanie is also a co-founder of the MentalPause Comedy Show and a frequent comedy performer on cruise ships.

Stephanie is also a humor coach for entrepreneurs and speakers. Stephanie is passionate about helping speakers add humor to their presentations so they can stand out from the crowd.

Cheryl Gaudet is a consummate performer and an award winning artist. Originally from Nova Scotia on Canada’s Atlantic coast, and now living in Mazatlan, Mexico, she knows how to hold an audience captive in an intimate setting and add humor to her performances. Her songs are reminiscent of a host of singers and bands she grew up with, like James Taylor, Neil Young, The Beatles and Bonnie Raitt.

Together, these three on the 13th will entertain, inspire, and definitely make you feel good with a little love and a lot of laughter.
